R*n 290 - Some Beans

, 9th August 2026
Our hare for the day Dr. Fingers decided that a trip to Marple Bridge was needed, so unlike most sensible hashers, she decided to head to the hash not from home, but instead from a weekend away - with bike, lots of baggage, and dog in tow.

Whilst driving to the hash, Cwoardelia noticed a beleaguered hare traipsing up a hill towards the on-in, and figured that she might want a lift. He wasn't wrong, Dr. Fingers gladly popped all her clobber into the van and was carried in some style to the pub.

A small but perfectly formed bunch of hashers joined Dr. Fingers and the weather was superb. Thinking she'd give us the slip, Dr. Fingers went to the first beer stop and ordered her Sunday lunch, only to find the pack close behind and they turned up way before her dinner did. How on earth they found the trail is a mystery, due to the incomprehensible markings that Dr. Fingers had seen fit to drop. Judge for yourself in the gallery!

After some scoff, we then continued back to the original pub via the river - where our canine companions decided a bit of paddling was in order. After cooling down and the odd hash flash, we returned to the on-in for punishments.

Hares: Dr. Fingers and Carlos.
Attendees: Beano, Comes Prepared, Cwoardelia Snatch, Dancing Delight, Flicky Licky, Just Annie & Squeezy.
